The School organized an industrial visit on 24th Nov. 2016 for the students of classes XI & XII (commerce) who were accompanied by three of the faculty members of the school. The visit was to the most famous brand of the fast food chain i.e. Mc Donald and grocery store i.e. Big Bazaar situated in Mathura.

The visit started in the early hours of a working day by the school bus. At first the students were taken to the manufacturing hall of Mc Donald. Within the premises, one of the crew members took charge and had taken the students to the plant stating the introduction about the manufacturing as well as the merchandizing of the products. They produce variety of foods and soft drinks. He mentioned about every activity happening in the premises like making of combos, labelling and packaging. He also answered the queries of the students regarding marketing and manufacturing. The students were made familiar with the management concepts being followed by Mc Donald.

Students were amazed at the speed at which the whole process occurred and how the automated systems could work according to the requirements. The manufacturing process adopted by them is batch process. The industrial visit was an enriching experience for the students in getting live exposure of manufacturing which can help them in future too. The trip was an opportunity to discuss fast food, the food pyramid and the balanced diet.

Career Orientation Programme

Generally the students are unaware of the fact that 10th is the initial and crucial stage of building a career. These students take the decision with puzzled and ambiguous mind and end up selecting the wrong stream thereby opening the door to worst consequences in the long term career prospects. So it is very important for any student to choose the stream carefully for better career prospects in future.

Keeping this in view, Dr Ambrish Sharma, Professor, Mangalaytan University, Aligarh was invited on 2nd Dec. 2016 for a talk on the same agenda. He focused on being firm and determined about the goal, facing the challenge, identifying one’s strengths and weaknesses and thereby choosing the stream and thereafter the career options. He also insisted the students to write their goal and then work towards it. More than 300 students of Class 10th attended the session. The resource person also satisfied certain queries of the students. Hence the session was very motivating and fruitful.
