REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATION

26th January is a gala day for every Indian. On 26th Jan.1950, the constitution of India came into force and our country, India became the Republic. We celebrate this day as a festival every year.

APS Mathura celebrated the Republic Day with unprecedented patriotic fervour.The entire school assembled on the Assembly ground in the morning. After sometime the Principal and other distinguished persons arrived. There our hon’ble guest, Brig. S. Ramanathan, the Chairman of the school unfurled the National flag. With that everybody stood erected for National Anthem sung by the choir.

After that, students presented cultural program which included patriotic songs, dances and the speech. The whole program was nice and all enjoyed.

At the end,  the Chairman spoke a few lines on the importance of this day reminding the students of the sacrifices made by our great freedom fighters and made them take a pledge to serve motherland with heart,  body and soul to bring it glory and laurels with dignified deeds. The program ended with the sweet distribution.

VISIT OF PATRON-IN-CHIEF

It was our proud moment when Lt. Gen. Taranjit Singh, VSM**, GOC, Patron – in- chief,  Aps Mathura visited the school on 23rd January 2018.He was welcomed by the Principal and Chairman of the school. Thereafter the Principal elaborated upon the school through a presentation.  After that, Sir visited the school premises including all the labs and library. The students met him with great enthusiasm and he was overwhelmed by their response. It was certainly a pleasant experience to have Sir as a part of our team.  His ideas and suggestions were undoubtedly fruitful for the institution. The institution felt honored and privileged by his presence.

QUIZ COMPETITION ON GALLANTRY AWARDS 2018-19

The students of APS Mathura tested their IQ in a Quiz Competition organized by the Ministry of Defence from 1st January to 10th January, 2018. The quiz was conducted online in which 135 students of our school participated.

The aim of the quiz was to make the youth of the country more aware about the ideas and spirit of patriotism and nationalism. The questions of the quiz were based on the awards and the winners of Param Vir Chakra, Mahavir Chakra and others.

The winners will be felicitated during the 2018 event of Republic Day and they will be invited to witness the Republic Day Parade on January 26 and Beating Retreat on Jan 28. The result of the competition is awaited.
