FUN DAY FOR APS MATHURA STAFF

Keeping this view, our Principal, Mrs. Gayatri Kulshreshtha took the entire staff of the school to Tarapore Hall for the movie ‘Padmavat’ on 17th May, 2018.It is an Indian epic period drama film depicting Rajput’s valour. The movie was interesting and we all enjoyed a lot together.

Thanks to our Principal for instilling a lot of learning and touching our hearts.

Career counselling by extramarks

The focus of career counselling sessions in schools is to make the students aware of career exploration, their career choice in life and personal growth and development. Keeping this view the school conducts such sessions time to time. A career counselling session by extramarks team was conducted for the students of classes X-XII in the month of May, 2018 . They conducted an online test to test the aptitude of each child. On the basis of the result of this test one to one counselling was also held where the parents were also invited. The team informed the children about different colleges and counselled the students to opt right career. The session was informative and fruitful for the students

 

ARMY PUBLIC SCHOOL, MATHURA CANTT CLEANLINESS DRIVE (15th & 16th May 2018)

It was to recognize and acknowledge the vital role of cleanliness awareness that Army Public School, Mathura undertook the ‘Cleanliness Drive’ on 15th May & 16th May 2018. An array of activities was organized to sensitize the students about keeping their homes, surroundings and school premises clean. An elaborate theme based morning assembly, Collage making and Drawing Competitions were conducted. Students were given handy tips to keep their vicinity clean & healthy. It very emphatically sent across the message of Cleanliness imprinting the same on the heart and mind of the students.

The ‘Shramdaan’ by the students of Classes VI to X was the highlight of the event which depicted their exuberance and gusto. They enthusiastically took up brooms and garbage bags to clean up every nook and corner of the playgrounds and even their classrooms. This special cleanliness drive reiterated the mission of this campaign. This event very firmly highlighted the importance of cleanliness for a healthy, socially responsible, economically dynamic and progressive nation.

The students participated in all the activities with a lot of zeal. Their perception and thought process regarding ‘Clean India Green India’ was worth appreciating. The students understood the gravity of this drive and put in their heart & soul in it. They realized that any work is best done when it is carried out by the person himself. It also made the students aware of the dignity of labor. It is the best legacy that we can leave for our future generations.

 

 

 

APS MATHURA STUDENTS BAGGED MEDALS AT STATE- LEVEL KARATE TOURNAMENT

APS MATHURA achieved notable success at OPEN U.P. STATE YUDDHGYAN KARATE CUP TOURNAMENT  held on 13th May, 2018 at SANDIPANI MUNI SCHOOL, CHAITANYA VIHAR, VRINDAVAN, MATHURA where the students from 13 districts of U.P. and 8 Schools from Mathura- Vrindavan were present to take part. Under the guidance of our Sports faculty Ms. Gunjan Dixit total 25 students of APS Mathura also participated in the tournament and brought laurels to the School by winning 14 GOLD MEDALS, 8 SILVER, 5 BRONZE and THE KARATE CHAMPIONSHIP CUP. It’s great to see our students working so hard and aiming so high.

QUIZ COMPETITION

APS Mathura Cantt successfully conducted an Open Quiz Competition in the school premises on 10th May,2018 in which four teams with three fervent participants in each team gave tough battle to each other. The participants had to go through mind blogging rounds consisting of questions related to current affairs, science, sports and many more.

It was very informative and knowledge enriching competition for the participants along with the audience.

Games are an integral part of the holistic development which direct one to be competitive while keeping the spirit of honesty and camaraderie alive. Keeping this view, an inter-house Football Tournament was held in APS, Mathura on 27th, April, 2018 . Boys of classes IX-XII representing all the four houses participated in the competition and exhibited their talent, enthusiasm and sportsman spirit. The final match was played between Sarojini Naidu House and Hoshiyar House. Both the teams tried to outshine each other on the field to show their mettle. Sarojini Naidu House emerged victorious whereas Hoshiyar House stood Second and the third position was bagged by Arun House. The Winning team could be seen jubilantly celebrating its victory after the match.

COLLAGE MAKING COMPETITION

‘Life is a beautiful collage of priceless moments which when pieced all together creates a unique treasured masterpiece.’

Collage is a technique of an art production, primarily used in the visual arts, where the artwork is made from an assemblage of different forms, thus creating a new whole. APS Mathura organized an inter-house Collage making competition on 21st April,2018 where the students of classes VI-XII were asked to make a collage individually on the theme provided. An Open Competition of Poster Making was also conducted for the students of classes Ist to Vth. The theme for the Poster Making Competition was ‘Save Environment’ and for the Collage Competition, the theme was ‘Commonwealth Games.’

32 students participated in the competition and the activity provided them an inspiration to learn the essence of competitiveness and time management. They also learned and realized the importance of communication, coordination and cooperation. The time allotted for the competition was 1 and half hour. The students were judged by the drawing teacher, Mr. S.K. Verma. All the students participated enthusiastically along with competitive spirit.
