AWES DAY CELEBRATION-2019

With the motto of “Truth is God” AWES established a chain of schools all over the country. It manages and ensures quality education to the children of Indian Army Personnel. Ever since its inception, the AWES has been doing a wonderful job in this direction and it expanded its area, as it offers higher education too. Every year AWES day is celebrated with lot of zeal and enthusiasm. This year too, APS Mathura Cantt celebrated  36th AWES Day on 29th April,2019 in Senior as well as Junior wing  wherein various activities were conducted…….

  • Special Assembly was conducted by the students of Junior wing. The day commemorated with the school prayer followed by the school pledge and a well orated speech highlighting the significance of the day and the achievements of AWES. After that a dance performance was given by our tiny tots on the melodious beats of “Suno Bachon uthao basta” which left the audience in awe and applauded by all.

 

Also ‘The Prize Distribution Ceremony’ was held in the Senior wing wherein  the winners of ‘International Silver Zone Olympiad-2018’ were felicitated. 22 students won Gold Medal whereas Silver Medal was bagged by 2 students. With that the winners of Essay Writing Competition, conducted by SADBHAVNA MATHURA UNIT with an aim to promote ‘Constitution Awareness Mission for peace’ were given away the prizes.

 

Furthermore, all the students sang AWES song with high spirits having lot of pride in their heart and the Assembly ended with the National Anthem.

VISIT OF APS MATHURA STUDENTS TO VILLAGE SCHOOL AND GLA UNIVERSITY

Under Teaching- Learning process, 11 students of classes IV and V visited Cantonment  Primary school, Veterinary college accompanied by two teachers of our school. There, our students interacted with those students and exchanged their ideas on the method of their schooling. They also played and enjoyed mid-day meal together. It was a nice Educational trip for students as it provided them an opportunity to build bonds with other children.

51 students of Class XI along with two teachers went to GLA University to explore different career options. The students were shown the Library and learnt about the courses offered by the University. They were also sensitized about Computer field and under graduate programs by the Coordinator- IBM and the Head of Under Graduate Program repectively.

POSTER AND COLLAGE MAKING COMPETITION

To inculcate the essence of competitiveness, Poster making and Collage making competitions were organized for the students of classes VI to IX on the topic ‘Education in 21st Century’. 40 students enthusiastically participated in the competition, held in the school premises and showcased their creativity. The objective of the competition was to bring forth the innate skills and creative genius of the students

SAPTA SHAKTI TALENT HUNT COMPETITION-2019

  • “ Learning the treasure within”

Keeping this in view ,South Western Command organized SAPTA SHAKTI APSs TALENT HUNT COMPETITION  to bring out hidden potential and aptitude of students. The preliminary stage was hosted by APS Mathura Cantt in which seven schools of H.Q.1 Corps viz APS Hisar , APS Kanpur, APS Ranchi, APS Alwar, APS Old Cantt Allahabad, APS Talbehat and APS Mathura Cantt participated.

 

The event began at 8:00 a.m. with draw of lots in the presence of all participating teams. Mrs. Suja Suresh Kumar, Zonal Vice President AWWA , Strike one graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and was formally welcomed by the Chairman and the Principal of the School. The program was inaugurated by the lighting of the lamp followed by the formal welcome of all the participating teams. Then the sequence and rules of the program were announced. It followed the introduction and welcome of the Honorable Judges. The competition included activities like Singing, Instrumental, Special talent and Solo & Group Dance. The participants mesmerized the spectators with their melodious voice, rhythmic movements and their skills in handling musical instruments. Later on the power point presentation on the origin and achievement of AWES was displayed.

Further, the winners of the competition were honored by Honorable Chief Guest after which she addressed the audience with her priceless words.

The program concluded with a vote of thanks and the winners of Preliminary round will move to APS Jaipur for the main event which is to be held on 03rd May,2019. The event earned a great admiration, appreciation and was a success.

 

 

VISIT BY GOC,1 CORPS

It was a matter of great pride and honor when Honorable. Lt. Gen. A.S. Bhinder, VSM, GOC,1 Corps, APS Mathura Cantt visited the institution on 8th April,2019.Sir was formally welcomed by the Principal and the Chairman of the school. Thereafter the Principal elaborated upon the school through a presentation and made him aware of the infrastructure and various activities of the institution. Furthermore Sir visited the campus including the Labs and Library extending his worthy suggestions. Sir emphasized on inculcating the value of cleanliness among students and stated to set high standards and goals for the institution taking it to a zenith.The institution felt honored and privileged by his presence.

ACADEMIC AWARD CEREMONY 2018-19

APS Mathura celebrated the ‘Academic Award Ceremony’ with great exuberance on 5th April,2019. Brig. H.S. Pilkhwal,the Chairman,APS Mathura graced the occasion as the chief guest of the day.Sir was formally welcomed by the Principal.  The program commenced by invoking God’s blessings followed by the Prize distribution.

The overall toppers from classes I to IX and XI for the session 2018-19 including the class wise toppers and the students scoring full attendance received Prizes and certificates. The award ceremony was held amidst much joy, cheer and applause.

Further the Chief Guest congratulated the Prize winners and highlighted the devoted work done by the teachers in maintaining excellent academic standards in the school. The program ended with a vote of thanks followed by the National Anthem.

FAREWELL TO THE HEAD CLERK,APS MATHURA

“Moving on is a simple thing, what it leaves behind is hard.”

It was on 03rd April,2019 that the management and the staff of APS, Mathura bade farewell to Ex-Sub. S.P. Singh, served as LDC and Head Clerk in APS Mathura . Sir has also served as   P.A. in Army for 28 years . He has worked in APS Mathura for 10 years i.e. from 03rd November,2009 till 03rd April,2019 with full dedication. We wish him a good Luck for his future endeavours.
