The NCC mainly aims to develop the character and personality of the youth and transform them into responsible citizens. NCC Day is celebrated every year on the fourth Sunday in the month of November.

Keeping this in view, APS Mathura observed NCC day on 22nd November,2019 wherein a lot of activities were carried out by NCC students to stress the significance of NCC as an organization in empowering the youth of our country. On this day, all the NCC students took part in demonstrating the benevolence of the great men (who struggle day and night for the well being of the country  ) by various performances. Beautiful dances, skit and songs were dedicated to them. It was followed by a quiz and an informative and inspirational speech which enlightened the minds of NCC cadets about the significance of the service organization and its moto-unity and discipline.

Overall the entire event had received an appreciation and the NCC unit of the school has been able to highlight the relevance and significance of NCC  in shaping the lives of the young generation.


APS Mathura Cantt organized Inter School English Debate Competition on 16th November,2019 at Tarapore Hall. The event was graced with the presence of Mrs. Gayatri Kulshreshtha, the Principal, APS Mathura who welcomed the participants and conveyed her best wishes for the competition. The event witnessed the participation of 6 schools and the students of class X were the enthusiastic audience. The aim of the competition was to hone public speaking skills of the students and teach them to be articulate while expressing their thoughts and opinions. The topic for the day was ‘Space missions are a wastage of resources for a resource starved nation like India.’ The competition was adjudged by three judges. The teams were well prepared and undoubtedly convinced the audience of their beliefs and views. The participants, armed with statistics and data made arguments more emphatic with their righteous facial expressions and voice modulation. They exhibited great oratory skill. The judges were highly pleased with their logical presentation. In the end, the Respected judges were honored with momentous and the winners were felicitated by the Principal. Also certificates were presented to all participants.  The winner of the Debate was St. Dominic’s School Mathura whereas the Runner-Up team was APS Mathura Cantt.  The competition was an enthralling experience for the speakers as well as the audience.



“There is no garden as beautiful as childhood.”  With this thought  Children’s Day was celebrated  in APS Mathura Cantt  with zeal and enthusiasm. It began with a special assembly presented by class XI B and was followed by an Inter House Dance competition. The vivacious dancers set the floor on fire with their energetic performance. The fun filled extravaganza offered classical, folk and western. The choreography, rhythm, synchronization and presentation of all the students were good. The happiness of the children was amply evident with applause and appreciation.

The judges congratulated the winners and appreciated the performance of the children and also encouraged them to participate more in such competitions to enhance their talents. The program

ended with the distribution of chocolates to the students.

Report on National Unity Day & Vigilance Awareness

The National Day of Unity also known as Rashtriya Ekta Diwas is celebrated to commemorate Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on his birthday, who truly unified the country. The day was introduced by the government of India in 2014 to be celebrated every year on 31st Oct. To pay tribute to the iron man of India, APS Mathura also celebrated the solemn occasion during morning assembly on 1st Nov 2019.

Deepak Chaudhary from XII Hum. delivered a short speech elaborating on the contribution of Late Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in maintaining the integral strength of the nation. Thereafter all the students and the staff members took a pledge to dedicate themselves to preserve the unity, integrity and security of the nation and also strive hard to spread this message among all the countrymen.

The week in which the birthday of Late Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, which is on 31st Oct, falls is also observed as Vigilance Awareness Week. Hence Vigilance Awareness was spread among the students by conducting a Quiz on 2nd Nov 2019 wherein students from Classes IX to XII participated with great zeal and enthusiasm. The aim of this awareness is to motivate and sensitize everyone to remain vigilant, honest and transparent in their work and attitude so that a corruption free society is formulated.
