GRANDPARENTS’ DAY CELEBRATION

“What children need the most are the essentials or values that grandparents provide in abundance. They give unconditional love, kindness, patience, humour, comfort, lessons in life. A child needs grandparent to grow a little more securely into an unfamiliar world.”

With its strong belief in the overall and holistic development of the child, Army Public School Mathura Cantt continues to instill values even in these unprecedented times through the means of virtual gatherings. One such ceremonial occasion was on September 11, 2021, in which the students virtually witnessed the Celebration of Grandparents Day.
The day was filled with oodles of blessings, happy faces, excitement and cheer as the budding stars of Army Public School (Arun House) displayed their love and affection for their grandparents. The event took place during morning assembly. Students of Arun House participated in multifarious cultural programs to welcome their dada dadis and nana nanis.
The event started with Saraswati Vandana followed by prayer, pledge, thought, poem recitation, speech, dance, news and quiz. It was a sight to behold as the tiny tots were seen tapping their feet portraying their love and dedication for their grandparents. With lovely welcome notes from Savita, the event sallied forth with the other cultural programmes. The paragon of the entire event was the dance performance by Devika. Poem Recitation by Rugvija was the exemplary performance that tied the entire show and left everyone spellbound with cheerful faces.  The icing on the cake was the gratitude speeches by Nidhi and Siddarth which made everyone glued to their screens and see the performing faces expressing their heartfelt thanks for all the love received by the grandparents. The children were very excited to showcase their love for their grandparents and this was evident on their faces while they were performing. It was a moment of elation to see the happiness ushering in the faces of all the students who witnessed this wonderful celebration.

The Principal addressed the students and proclaimed the importance of having their presence even in the virtual classes which the school is conducting for the students. The immense support and love received from the parents and grandparents even in these troubled times has helped the school move headway focussing on all the scholastic and co-scholastic areas without facing any hindrance in the student’s learning. She motivated all the students to respect and obey their grandparents. The event culminated with a vote of thanks given by Mrs Sadhana Chaturvedi, the House Incharge of Arun House followed by National Anthem.

Teacher’s Day Celebration-2021

And here comes the special occasion of Teacher’s Day!

It’s the ideal time to show respect and gratitude for your mentors.

The famous phrase in Sanskrit states that “Mata, Pita, Guru, Deivam”.

And yes! Teachers are always more significant than the creator. Teachers’ determination and sincerity shape the destiny of the nature as they are laying the foundation and building blocks of society. Teacher’s day is celebrated to acknowledge the challenges, hardships and special roles that teachers play in our lives.

To make this day even more special, spectrum of jubilant talents of APS Mathura graced the day through a special morning assembly conducted by the students of class XII. The Students exhibited their respect and gratitude towards Respected Principal Ma’am and their beloved teachers through a short programme sequencing speech, poem recitation, dance, skit etc. The Students participated with full fun and zeal. As children always need guidance. On this special occasion, The Principal, Dr. Ramma Mattoo addressed the students with her worthy piece of advice and appreciated Class XII children for executing the program well.

Celebration was not over yet. Since it was a special day for teachers, teachers of APS Mathura had a special get together after the school.

We celebrated this special occasion through fun filled music and dance performances. To make the day memorable, a special Documentary was released by our Respected Principal, Dr. Ramma Mattoo depicting the pain and labour of unsung corona warriors i.e. TEACHERS.

The program ended with the distribution of gifts to the staff as a token of appreciation followed by a sumptuous lunch by the management of the school.
