NORTHERN COMMAND INTER APS HINDI DEBATE COMPETITION

As F. Scott Fitzgerald once said, “The test of a first-rate intelligence is the ability to hold two opposed ideas in mind at the same time and still retain the ability to function.” Debate teaches the students how to persuade, how to present clearly, and how to connect with an audience, the most wanted skills our youngsters need. It also gives students a rare opportunity to take ownership of  their own intellectual development.  And throughout the years of practice and competition, debate builds lifelong friendships and community, teaching teamwork as well.

TEACHER’S DAY CELEBRATION

‘A teacher’s purpose is not to create students in his image, but to develop students who can create their own image’.There is no doubt that teaching is the noblest profession as it gets an incredible love and respect compared  to any other profession. Teachers’ Day is celebrated on September 5, to mark the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan,  a former President of India, scholar, philosopher and Bharat Ratna recipient.  As an educationist, he was an advocate of edification and was a distinguished envoy, academician, and above all, a great teacher. On this sacred day, students all over the country pay respect and tribute to their teachers.

The students of  APS Mathura Cantt also celebrated  Teachers’ Day on 5th September 2022 with zeal, enthusiasm and exuberance. Ms. Anju Malhotra, our honourable Principal, was the Chief Guest of the occasion. Dr. Shalini Sharma, the Vice Principal also graced the ceremony with her presence. After the lightening of the lamp, the Principal offered flowers and garlands to the picture of Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan. Then, the cultural programme started. The students were passionate and enthusiastic to show their love and affection to their Teachers. The scintillating dance numbers, dazzling performances and sparkling eyes of the performers made the atmosphere magical. After the cultural programme, the Chief Guest, Ms. Anju Malhotra, felicitated the students with her motivational words. Through her words of wisdom, the Chief Guest expressed her happiness and expected that the students will not leave any stone unturned to prove themselves in their life.
