CUEMATHS WEBINAR

APS Mathura aims at making the students  great at maths, and create invincible problem-solvers who will go on to solve humanity’s greatest problems as maths is the language of everyday thinking and problem solving. So, to help the students to overcome their math’s anxiety and make this learning process more interesting, an exclusive webinar on mathematics  hosted by APS Udhampur on 31st January.

Dr. Vinita Mishra  coordinated the workshop. After a formal welcome by Ms Avantika Singh, the session started. The session commenced with a presentation by the resource person Ms Nancy. She enlightened the audience about Pedagogy and Learning Outcomes in Mathematics.Concept building was being emphasized by her. According to CUEMATHS, the ideal Teacher student ratio is 1:4. She also emphasized on Parents’ involvement. Parents must be able to keep a constant check on the progress of their child after a concept is being explained. Different innovative and productive ways to teach maths were also discussed.

Vote of Thanks was given by Dr. Vinita Mishra, TGT Maths, APS Mathura. The session was attended by the Principal, Ms. Anju Malhotra and the staff members. The webinar was enriching, interactive and interesting.

FAREWELL OF CLASS XII(22-23)

High school farewell is exciting—it sparks hope for the future and invites students to dream big. It also helps the students to pursue their passion, celebrate their bloopers and follow their fear.

The farewell for the students of Class XII ,session 2022-23  was organized on 31st January 2023 at APS Mathura. The students of class XII received a grand welcome from the teachers and the students of class XI. It was a moment of palpable excitement, elation and expectation as the remarkable journey that began at the time of admission, completed this year. A cultural programme along with an exhilarating dance performance was presented  by the juniors. After a graceful ramp walk, Ms. Madhavi Malhotra was adjudged as Ms. APS and Mr. Rohit Kumar as Mr. APS. Different titles were given to the deserving students. The outgoing batch was presented with a citation carrying a message from the Principal and lots of love and wishes from their teachers. The Principal, Ms. Anju Malhotra congratulated the winners of different titles and exhorted them to achieve the new heights of glory.

The ceremony was attended by the Principal, the staff members and the students of XI std. Farewell day felt  like the first day of the rest of their  life. The day ended with a suggestion for the students, ‘ If you  strive for excellence, you can and should have a substantial impact on the world in which you live.’

VEER BAL DIWAS-A TRIBUTE TO GURU GOVIND SINGH’S SONS

Veer Bal Diwas is celebrated in honour of four Sahibzadas of Guru Gobind Sahib Ji, who were martyred in the 17th century. To facilitate the participation of the students of APS Mathura Cantt, following activities were conducted in the school for the students of Classes I to V in January,2023.

1.The story of ‘Sahibzada Zorawar Singh ji’ and ‘Sahibzada Fateh Singh Ji’, Sons of Guru Gobind Singh Ji, was narrated by the Class teachers to the students addressing the theme of sacrifice, courage, respect and responsibility.

2.The students wrote the values they learnt from the lives of Sahibzadas and how they can incorporate them in their own lives.
3.The students made ‘Thank you /Promise Cards’ to express their gratitude towards the sacrifices done by Sahibzadas and to follow their teachings.
Through the above mentioned ‘Veer Bal Diwas’ activities, the studenTs recalled the courage of the Sahibzadas and Mata Gujri Ji. They also remembered the courage of Sri Guru Govind Singh Ji.

PARIKSHA PE CHARCHA AT APS,MATHURA

Pariksha Pe Charcha is a movement led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, to create a stress-free atmosphere for youngsters. It  is an annual event where our PM interacts with students appearing for the forthcoming board examination.

In the 6th edition of Pariksha Pe Charcha, on 27th January 2023  at 11:00 a.m., our Hon’ble Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi interacted with students, teachers, and parents. Some interesting mantras were shared by our honourable PM to cope with exam stress. Sir, also encouraged the students to recognize their strengths and hobbies in order to achieve their goals. The  students were also encouraged for  ‘DIGITAL FASTING’ once a week. He further added that digital fasting will help in reconnecting the families. “You are smarter than gadgets. Use it wisely,” he added. Furthermore, PM Modi advised  to not use unfair means in the exam hall as honesty is the best policy. One should crave for knowledge then mugging up for examination and should not hesitate in sharing their dreams with their parents.

During the session,Sir, satisfied the queries raised by the students. He added further that inner strength, confidence, calmness is the mantra for successs. While discussing about distraction, he emphasised that social media and digital devices should not be our master rather we should use it as a weapon for enlightening our knowledge.

Around one thousand students were present in the live event held at Talkatora Stadium – New Delhi, while lakhs of students watched the live event on various online platforms like YouTube, TV channels, and social media platforms.The program was telecasted in Conference hall, which was attended by our Hon’ble Principal , Vice Principal , teachers from various departments and faculties and the students of class X and XI. The target audience for the event were mainly students. The students were filled with zeal and enthusiasm after the session as the session was extremely engaging, interactive and soothing.

VIDYANJALI BY APS MATHURA

Vidyanjali is an initiative taken by the Ministry of Education, Government of India with the aim to strengthen schools through community and private sector involvement in schools across the country. Under this initiative Army Public school, Mathura adopted UPS Dhauli Pyau, Town Area, Mathura.

As a part of  Vidyanjali, the students from UPS Dholi pyau visited APS Mathura on 20 Jan.2023 and participated in different activities. The day  began with their interaction with the Principal and  the Vice Principal. Principal ma’am bestowed them with discipline lessons. Thereafter, they were taken to the resource room and the children with the special abilities participated in  many activities. The students also enjoyed swings and visited Science Park and Herbal Garden in campus. Furthermore, they played different games like- basketball, volleyball, cricket, and karate with our students. Other than these, they also participated in dance, aerobics, Zumba and music. The students also enjoyed swings and visited Science Park and Herbal Garden in campus.

It was truly a fruitful day for the students and a new experience for our school. We look forward to organize more such programmes to add more values in the lives of the students and bring a needed change in the education sector .
