26th January is an auspicious and prestigious occasion in the lives of every Indian. This special day was celebrated at APS Mathura with great vigor as a tribute to the national heroes who sacrificed their lives for the freedom and honor of mother India.
The celebration began with unfurling of the national flag by Honorable Principal, Dr. Ramma Mattoo followed by the rendition of the National Anthem. The atmosphere inside school was surcharged with nationalism and pride. Keeping in mind the covid-19 circumstances, the link of Republic day program was shared with the children. The events included melodious songs, patriotic poems, speech & mesmerizing dance by the students. The Principal conveyed her wishes to the students highlighting the importance of the day and encouraged the students to take measures to stop deforestation. A video was shared with the students to plant trees in a different way i.e. through seed balls.
It was an eventful day, the memories of which would be cherished forever.

As a part of the School’s initiative to provide best career options to choose courses after class XII, a ‘Career Fest’ was organised for the students of classes IX to XII in collaboration with Campus Coach-India’s leading On-Campus Mentoring Program for schools. It was conducted on virtual platform under the able guidance of the Principal, APS Mathura, Dr Ramma Mattoo.
The Program began with a brief introduction and welcome note about Team Campus Coach and the founder, Mr. Gaurav Yadav, by Mrs. Upma Bhargava, the CCA Incharge, APS Mathura. It was further proceeded by Ms. Paramjeet Kaur and Vijeta Valsan, Campus Coach Counsellors.
The event brought the top Indian leading Universities(Manipal University, Bennet, Mahindra, Flame and BML Munjal Universities) with distinguished experts under one umbrella through knowledgeable dialogues and discussions. Each representative gave a comprehensive detail of the Courses offered, Highlights, Departmental activities, Various clubs, different Career options . They then took the students through all the necessary essentials of Admission procedure and the links to apply for the same.
The purpose of this fest was to support school-going students connect with higher education experts, towards further guidance. About 323 participants have attended the session. The Representatives of each university mentored the students to choose the best option from an array of top campuses, colleges or universities. They took center stage to patiently explain how some of the jobs have been made redundant especially in today’s scenario. After the presentation, doubt -clearing session was conducted to discuss the queries of students. They cautioned the students to lay stress on discovering and building upon their skill set and aptitude before choosing a career. The session ended with the vote of thanks extended by the CCA Incharge, APS Mathura.It was a thought provoking and informative session.
Army Day is celebrated on January 15th every year to commemorate the day when Lieutenant General KM Cariappa took over Francis Butcher as the Commander-in-chief of India in January 1949.The day is celebrated to honour our country’s soldiers, who set the most exceptional example of selfless service and brotherhood, and above all, love for the country. Students of APS Mathura dedicated this day to our brave soldiers by conducting a special assembly on 15th January , 2022 virtually through various activities such as power point presentation, poems and shared interesting facts about the Indian Army.
We all paid tribute to the valor of the brave hearts on this day and thanked them for their selfless service.

National Youth day is observed to commemorate the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekanand, one of the greatest philosophers and spiritual leaders.
Keeping this in view, a special assembly was held at APS Mathura on 14th January,2022 on virtual platform. The assembly began with the prayer followed by the introduction of Swami Vivekanand. The children sang the motivational song conveying the message of Swamiji “Take risks in life, If you win, you may lead; if you lose, you may guide.” A quiz was conducted to detail about Swamiji’s life from his childhood to his contributions in the field of Education and vice versa.
The main objective behind the celebration was to make a better future for the country by motivating the youths and spreading the ideas of the Swami Vivekanand.
Lohri is the festival of Punjab, known as the “Wheat bowl”-bread basket state of India. This festival is celebrated to mark both celebration and sharing.
The staff of APS Mathura celebrated Lohri in the school premises on 13th January,2022 with a lot of exuberance and funfare. The mood on the campus was upbeat and the teachers were totally absorbed in the festive spirit of Lohri. The festival was celebrated together by litting the sacred fire,singing songs and tapping their feet to the beat of the music immersed in rich cultural folkfore of Punjab. Groundnuts and popcorns were distributed among the staff.
The Principal, Dr Ramma Mattoo conveyed her warm wishes and congratulated all on this auspicious occasion.
